Well, I've been in Albany for about two weeks now, and I haven't really posted about it. So here it is! My post! It's cold sometimes and hot others here. I haven't found a group to ride with, and I don't think I'm going to, so I'm trying to create one myself instead. I HAVE found a great mountain to climb, though, and I do it often ( Read more... )

Oh, she wasn't really. It was a prank. A damn good one too. XD

What was your scary experience?

I like the campus a lot. I'll try to get some inside pictures soon. :D

I think I'll be in a different kind of shape. It's a different kind of riding. It may help me improve for my group ride, I don't know, but I can already start to feel the effects of all that mountain work. :)

awesome possum. my scary experience was my first class, which was supposed to be italian I. we get there and the teacher is speaking straight italian, and i was thinking, "wow, okay, i guess this is her teaching style." but then some of the kids started to speak back to her in italian and i was like "wow, did i miss an assignment?" And then she said something in italian to me and i just looked really confused and she asked if i was a freshman. I told her yes, and she was like "this is intermediate italian, they shouldn't have let you in here." At that point about fifteen other people spoke up and were like "omg, we thought this was italian I too!" So half the class had to leave and change our schedules. heh, i would have felt so bad if i was the only one who made that mistake...! it was still embarrassing, but whew. It was kind of nerve racking to have that as my first class ever. :P One of the people that left the class walked with me and was like "yeah, so you're a freshman? welcome to ucf." haha

LOL. Oh man, that'd freak me out so bad! Especially to just be called on out of the blue like that in the first class! XD

Is law, like, the same thing as ethics?

Sometimes, and sometimes not. It depends. What you may consider unethical could be something that is, in fact lawful, and vice versa.

If you're asking in reference to what I'm studying, it's just basic principles of the law, such as the definition of battery, and how it applies to certain situations. Also, how you can take the ideas you learn, couple them with everything else you have learned from your other classes, and bend the ideas to your own ends. A lawyers job, really, is to manipulate laws and rules to reach the end he or she wants to.

Pretty cool stuff so far, I think. :D
