This is very cute! And correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you've done the Spamano Impossible and written a fic where Romano doesn't call Spain a bastard. And he COMPLIMENTS him! Kudos to you.

And perchance what is Romano reading to Spain at the end? It is a real novel/story?

I hate those fics where Romano just constantly barrages Spain with obscenities and whatnot, and then Spain turns around and is just like WHATEVER. I mean, some people can take a higher degree of abuse but... I feel like even nations need some reprieve. Also, Romano has always struck me as a very passionate person, so when he loves something, he really, really loves it and even if he's awkward about showing it, he will show it.

Also, the story at the end I just made up... I was listening to a song called "Jar of Hearts" while writing and so I just went with that, I guess.

Oh and thank you!! So so much :)

I agree so much! I don't know why everyone magically forgets about the webcomic where Spain is sick from his economy and Romano has an ever-loving freak-out and pushes himself to the limit (even fighting the mafia) to make him feel better. The boy has a heart too!

Speaking of hearts, maybe you should consider trying to expand the story fragment you have here...it seems a lot of people were intrigued by it.

Hmm, maybe I shall. Also, where can I find that strip? I hear about it all the time but I've never been able to locate it!

Awwwwwwww it was adorable! I really like this kind of 'slice-of-life' fic situations :D

And that novel/story exists? sounds pretty interesting :D

No, it doesn't, as far as I know. I was listening to a song called "Jar of Hearts" while writing that part so I just started making stuff up. Thank you so much, it really means a lot to know you enjoyed it :)

Have I mentioned how much I love filling in the kink meme?

Nothing wrong with that at all. Or procrastinating on other things to finish a kink meme fill. :] I saw and read (and reread) this on the kink meme yesterday just after getting back home from vacation, and it was a delightful reading experience even in my tired condition. (I really should have commented on your earlier (non-Giripan) deanoned kink meme fills because they're all terrific, but I was just plain lazy. >_>)

Anyway, like I said in my anon comment, I absolutely loved your characterizations of Spain and Romano and it was extremely refreshing to read something that actually acknowledges the "dere" in Romano's tsundere personality. This is the kind of fic I'd reread over and over again (and probably will -- actually already kind of did, as a matter of fact).

o////o Thank you so much! Your comment made me blush profusely. I just try and write the type of fics that I like to read, because I assume someone else enjoys them, too.

“I love you,” Romano suddenly blurted out, although he immediately covered his face with the book. Antonio reeled back as if he had been slapped, opened his mouth, closed it, and just stared at Romano, who was now reduced to a quivering mass behind his book.

You've captured the sole reason why I've always always loved Romano's character in the webcomics, and how as "tsundere" he may seem to fans (who sometimes tend to overdo to tsun-tsun bit, imo, he's still a person who has other emotions too and at the rarest moments, would also be kind towards the people he care for (and in this case, namely Spain).

Good job <3

Thank you so much ♥ ♥ As I said in another comment, I find Romano to be very passionate, so it would be hard for him to not express his love for the things (and people) he feels that way towards. :D
