I loved this, this is one of the most realistic and thought provoking and pulling at the heartstrings fics I've read. Thank you so so much for writing this! The "God Save the Queen" bit was really beautiful. However, it would have been helpful to have the key for the nation/human names at the beginning as opposed to the end. Up until the blue flag on the lapel was mentioned, I thought Logan was the replacement England, giving the way Alfred was hating on him. (Well, he wasn't actually persay, rather grieving I suppose.) I hope that you won't have any cause to use those not breathing techniques in the future.

In the original fill I put those notes at the top... not sure why I moved them to the bottom, tbh, maybe I'll move 'em back up. Thank you so much for your compliment. The breathing thing was something I did when I was very very very young and I haven't done it since, but it seemed to fit here.
