corsets!

i've heard several folks mention that they'd like to learn how to make a corset. i'm by no means an expert, but i can get the job done, and would be happy to hold a little gathering to demonstrate the "wrap yourself in duct tape and make a custom pattern" method. i'm not sure how much actual sewing would be involved, because i've only got 1 machine

I can actually only make one of those - Saturday the 17th, as long as we're done by 4 or so -- Chaz has a concert in Schenectady that I'm driving him to, and we have to leave Pittsfield by 5-ish.

If that doesn't work for anyone else, I'll just have to wait for another time. :)

Aha! I know something about this one! the pattern I've used for the ones I've made is the Laughing Moon Ladies' Victorian Underwear pattern (http://store.corsetmaking.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=LM-100&Category_Code=LM).
It's pretty good.
I always make one up in test fabric and make fitting changes though...

I would love to participate, but the 17th would be bad, as I will most likely be baking and decorating, etc. for the solstice party. I'd kind of prefer the 18th, on the off hand chance that I can get something made for the New Year's shindig. I have fabric and everything. But no busk. Hmmmm..... But if it doesn't happen until the 7th or 8th, that's cool, too.
