4th of July planning

shgb & i were planning on hosting a 4th of july shindig. i don't have a clear idea of how many people have that day off from work... so should we do it the weekend before, or the day of?

I actually have the day off, and since our work rarely gives us days off, I'd imagine many other people do too.

Also, the weekend before is bad for me, so I'm biased.

I have to work that day, ostensibly until 8 (although in practice I might be out earlier), so if things are still going I could drop over ...

Sylvantechie and I have that day off, though I've kind of been dragooned in to being in the local forth of July parade. I imagine that's early enough in the day that I (and all of the other attendees) will still have time for a shindig.
