Ouch poor Remus! Such prejudices must be terrible to deal with.. And it has struck him while out with Tonks on what should have been a romantic date, and it strains at him so that he can't even speak with her for holding up his facade. *flails*

oh, a sad Valentine's story :-( But I choose to imagine that the rest of the evening was happy for them because at least they were together.

Oh, bravo! I loved both of these, very much. The Remus/Tonks story was so heartbreaking, and you captured him so wonderfully. I loved his stubborn strength in refusing to admit that he was bothered by the incident. Tonks was the perfect counterpoint with her quite rage.

The Ron/Hermione story was simply charming. I adored the comparison of Ron to Malfoy, since Hermione is such a tough darling that I imagine to her any show of weakness would be a bit over the top. However, the fact that she lets that slip by and is charmed by Ron's insecurities (not his strengths) is part of what makes them so great. Yeah!
