Hmm . . . tempting. We'll have to see how long the fire lasts (the one in the trees, not the one burning in certain people's, um, loins . . .). ;) I too can't wait for E & J to meet again--let's hope it's not too much longer. Thanks so much for your kind words. :)

Oh no Jen, you cant end it like that! You cant have that creep Randall lying to Ennis, just cos he wants to put his own grubby hands on Jack! I cant wait another week to see what happens!!!

Gosh Jen, I was on tenderhooks throughout that whole chapter it was fantastic - you really described the whole fire scene wonderfully it was so vivid, I could smell the smoke and feel the heat, it was amazing.

I was so glad that Ennis got to speak to Jack - I loved how that was done, with that sweet Julia setting it all up - does she know about Ennis and Jack then? - and oh boy, I could feel the tension between Ennis and Jack over the wire, you wrote that so wonderfully well, and Ennis being so brave to tell Jack his story. Umm, I love your Brokeback memories, Jen, they are just gorgeous. I am dying to hear Ennis tell Jack that he loves him - well, I'm assuming thats what he wants to say, right?

Fantastic chapter Jen, this story is so so good, cant wait for the next chapter.

Love the song lyrics too!

Hi C--Glad you liked it! Julia's been a very fun character to write so far; my vision of her keeps changing. I have a feeling she'll stick around here for a while longer. Thanks so much for reading. xx

Goddamned Randall anyway. *grumble, mumble*

This chapter was a real page turner. Lots of excitement, romance, and best of all, Ennis's longing for his man was palpable. Great writing there, as always!

Well, Randall may think he can convince or coerse Jack into doing something with him but with the bit of knowledge that Ennis gave Jack just now I don't think Randall will get his way with Jack at all. I am worried he may do something drastic a man who is turned down like Randall well can be dangerous. I am real proud Ennis took on helping out like he did and it just shows what kind of man he is a great man that we all dream of meeting someday in our lives. I really like your story please keep writing. Joe

Thanks so much for reading. I really want Jack to be able to look at Ennis and Randall side by side and understand what's really important to him, what each man represents. ;)
