Going Down, Interlude 2: Magi Bearing Gifts

Dec 17, 2006 18:20

Thanks, everyone, for bearing with my erratic posting schedule over the past few weeks. That's what I get for trying to set a deadline! Anyway, now that the semester is over, I'm hoping to post on a more regular basis again--once I am back in town. I'll be away December 18-29 but missing you all a great deal. :) Happy holidays!!Interlude II: ( Read more... )

What a wonderful story. You convey so much, beautifuuly, in a short space...J&T made it and are togeter, happy...their children with them...Ennis being recognized for the smart hard rancher he is...their homelife [some things just never get done!]...and their abiding love for each other.

They really are wise men, and kings.

Thanks again for the Christmas present. Best wishes to you, too.

"Ennis peered down where Jack’s finger rested, and suddenly tears filled his eyes. In small, delicate letters, so fine you would probably miss them unless you were looking for them, were four intertwined initials: E D J T. “Well, hell, Jack,” he said quietly, trying to sniff without Jack noticing. “I don’t know what to say.”

Jack squeezed his shoulder. “I know, Ennis,” he replied. “Glad you like it, that’s all.”

Oh what a wonderful story, and just right for Christmas! This is how I dream it would be for Ennis and Jack, and you have described it beautifully. *sniff*

Thanks Jen, and Happy Christmas to you honey!

This is SO sweet. I love their xmas together. Jack was so sweet getting that saddle personalized. And Ennis getting Jack a pup cause he knew how much he wanted one.

oh yeah Ennis does have another GIFT to give Jack. too bad Ennis doesn't have a big red bow on it. But I know Jack loves it all the same!
