I think LD better think AGAIN! Jack belongs to ENNIS! and THAT's THAT! (if LD has a problem with that he can come see me. And believe me I'll straighten that bastard out! if he thinks he is gonna play alpha male he's got another thing coming)

This works out for Jack, they can divorce. Lureen can marry Patrick. Jack and Lureen can share custody of Bobby. Jack and Ennis can marry (well not legally YET) and things can be like they're supposed to be

Right? ;) love this story

Thanks so much for reading. Part of what I want to do here is show Jack coming into his own--he's doubted his abilities as a man and provider in the past, but this moment in life is meant to prove to himself that he's all the man he could hope to be. ;)

Wow...I did not expect that ending!!! I cannot imagine Lureen or Jack EVER going "back" now that they both are happy...of sorts anyway....I hope they both let L.D. know that in no uncertain terms. I also hope Ennis is included in all the decisions.
My favorite parts of this update...were all the parts with Bobby and Jack...just lovely...

One of the things I liked best about the film was the scene in which Jack is helping Bobby drive the tractor, so I've always loved Jack-Bobby scenes in the fan fic world too. He has such a big heart that to me it's natural he'd love Bobby more than he ever dreamed possible. Thanks so much for reading. :)

I think someone needs to write a story where Faye beats the shit out of old LD. He really needs to find his women in the arms of another woman or something that would straighten him out when he finds his wife of all these years in the arms of another woman because he obviously could not keep her satisfied. Hmm what a thougth that mean old man thinking he is going to force Jack to stay with Lureen and make Lureen give up Patrick well I think he has another thing coming to him. OK you have me all riled up and not in the sexual way except I have to say the best part was when Jack thought Ennis was getting a pot belly because he drank so much cum. Hmm what a way to get fat, maybe I can use that excuse since I gained 20 pounds over the holidays. Joe

Thanks for reading! I had never thought of that possibility, where Faye totally rejects LD, though it does have real promise. :) I want us to see Jack really standing up for himself here and showing himself too that he's a strong and worthy person--I don't always get that sense of him in the fan fic world.
