Legalism is a broad subject. There is a positive type of legalism and a negative. The most commonly referred too is the negative, such as when we say, "He's being legalistic." Legal order in itself is not negative, and when properly applied is not negative. Usually, the one saying, "He's being legalistic," does submit himself to the proper order of legality, but is seeing the "he" as going to an improper extreme, which thus becomes negative

In fact, every false teacher basically has the same message, whether stated overtly or covertly. There is no need for Messiah, and you can find god another way
