Never say never [trytosmileagain]

Sousuke was not a pessimist, at least by his own standards.  He was a realist; he saw the facts, evaluated them thoroughly, and chose the best course of action from there.  So now that he and Usagi had become aware of their lunar heritage, Sousuke had a few more facts to consider ( Read more... )

All she had ever wanted was to be a normal teenage girl. Go to school, and eat lunch with her friends. Read magazines and listen to music. Go to the crown arcade and by chance maybe meet a hot boy that might end up becoming her boyfriend.

For a whole year after the incident at D-point, Usagi had been living that dream she had wished upon her and everyone else that had died. Being normal was so wonderful. Never having to worry about youma attacks or a new evil trying to take over the earth...

She wanted to be mad at Luna for bringing back her memories because this wasn't what she wanted. But, the moon rabbit couldn't bring herself to do it. The world needed Sailor Moon and she had no choice but to be content that she was protecting everyone elses peace that she would be denied ( ... )

Sousuke found himself staring at the moon for a bit longer than intended; he had a lot to think about. If Mamoru was going to protect Usagi, then what purpose did he have? His only role was being fulfilled by someone she would much rather be with, he was certain of that much. And true, he had moved here to Japan in order to try to become a normal civilian, but he wasn't. He wasn't in his last life, and he wasn't in this one. In reality, the only thing that kept him from going back to his life of battle was Usagi.

And if she was happier with Mamoru, so be it. He would return to duty.

There was a lot of packing to be done, in that case. He would go home, collect his things, and plan out his departure. He didn't think he could approach Usagi personally to inform her of this; a letter would have to do. He would write that at home as well.

With a heavier heart than he had entered the park with, he exited from the opposite entrance, back on the trail leading to his home.

Maybe for the last time.

The cold air stung her face as she whipped through the busy side walks of Juuban and down the areas that were most familiar and dear to her heart. Usagi had not been able to spot the soldier and she knew that she couldn't waste any time.

Her lungs were screaming out for air but she could not stop until she had reached her goal.

Why didn't I see it before? .. WHY?!All she could imagine at that point was just the empty look on his face when it had been explained how she had already known she was the Moon Princess prior to their meeting. Something in the back of her soul knew that if things continued then he would close himself up from her completely ( ... )

People are funny creatures. They can be in the middle of a thousand different situations at the same time, in the center of a chaotic whirlpool of emotion, and yet the simplest thing can snap them out of it.

For Sousuke, all of his thoughts and concerns were put on the backburner as soon as he heard the desperation and fear in Usagi's voice. In an instant, he turned around, his surprise revealed for a rare moment.

"Usagi, what is the matter?" he inquired, hand darting instantly into his jacket; he was armed as usual, his eyes darting around the area to see whatever threat she may be attempting to escape. "Has something happened? Are you alright?"

He would put his plans on hold for now. If Usagi was in danger, his job here wasn't done yet.

Typical Sousuke. Even when he's having personal problems his first instinct is to think that she was in danger.

It was a reason why she loved him so much.

But, he was giving her an opportunity to catch up with him finally and take it she did. With one final stretch, her hands finally grasp onto his jacket and she clenches it tightly in her tiny little hands as she finally can take no more.

"P-please.. wa... wait.." Usagi's head was lowered as as she panted and gasped for air and her body heaving from the delicious and still chilly air spreading oxygen to every part of her body.
