It’s so hard to actually sit down and write about travel when every day is something new. I don’t want to forgot the details of each adventure but ... My mind is a jumble of memories and contrasts most days and my sore feet, and butt are after walking, biking, etc
Most people don’t want to know (what they don’t know) or think they know it all already. It pains me to see people so confident in the “purity” “innocence” of their culture/country :-(
Ehhhh, if you're gonna make yourself sick, and we all do that in some capacity (wheat, lactose, alcohol, etc) at least make it worthwhile, and good cheese is indeed worthwhile! What is this truffle cheese you speak of, and how soon can you bring us some? ;D
No, but seriously, I'm kind of hoping you'll come to Melbourne before going back to work.. ?
I'm sure you'll find that you've changed in many, many ways in this time, and some you might not realise until you have settled back into every day life.
We take many, many of our western privileges for granted, absolutely. The fact that we have access to safe running water, medications, and a roof over our heads each night makes us luckier than most.
Yes! Lactose is my drug! :-) it’s raw Edam cheese infused with truffle from a certain region in Italy known for its amazing truffles. So goooood!
We are definitely going to have to meet up in Melbourne when I’m back! I’ll be there 21-26 March :) and then head to Canberra. I also head back for Easter/Passover long weekend. (The dates coincide this year which is awesome!) so what are your plans during those dates and can I see you ?
