Data approached the library, staring at the information on the note even if he'd long since memorized it. It was more of an idle, almost human action as he contemplated what its intended purpose might be.

He glanced up at, well, what appeared to him to be a human man as he approached. "Greetings," he started, "Did you receive a summons as well?" His own voice was even in tone, kind if earnest. A modulated and careful voice that had taken him a couple of decades to properly cultivate, thanks to his gradually evolving net that emulated a biological learning process.

The TARDIS didn't bother looking at the man as he approached, only giving Data a curt nod. "You are new," she observed, eyes still on the library. It seemed completely ordinary, and yet something felt wrong. Her sensors didn't function properly here, but there was the faintest twinge of other about the place. Not unlike the black hole or the Machine itself.

Shrugging her shoulders, the ship finally turned to face Data, the edge of her form blurring ever so slightly to the trained eye. Her projections were remarkably accurate, but they were still only projections.

"Shall we?"
