AND I HAVE RETURNED WITH A FUNCTIONAL "L" KEY AGAIN! most_feared February 27 2011, 00:08:39 UTC
When he first heard Braxiatel, for half a moment he thought it might be the clone. That is until he got a whole sentence out without tripping over his own tongue. "I think someone was lookin' for you," he said, as he put the ammunition chamber back into the gun and it whirred into place with a click and whirr of mechanical parts.

"Not really expectin' it. I was in the middle of it and thought I'd take a break." He hefted the gun to lean across his shoulders, almost protectively. He was very fond of his weaponry, and equally proud of it. Even if, technically, it was property of the MiB.

It was unhealthy in a very odd way. Besides being a tool of destruction, it was a symbol of Kay's job. He had no friends or family (Jay didn't count). He couldn't show off a wallet full of pictures, or a nice garment given to him by a kind relative with good taste. Instead, he had the guns that were the symbol for protecting the only thing he had in the universe.

He drummed his fingers along the side of said gun, looking not-directly-at-Brax, but somewhere off to the side and furrowing up his brow. "A clone." Yes, that awkwardness. "With a nice lookin' young woman named Bernice Summerfield?"

He raised an eyebrow at the young woman, obviously not of his time period. Even if her speech was a touch modern (but he'd been warned the Plane did that).

"Ma'am." He greeted. "You can call me 'K'." He checked his weapon to make sure that it was properly assembled, as having one half-together would be impolite in front of someone that appeared to be aristocracy, and gave her a bow.

"It's a weapon," he admitted. "I'm a-" he needed a good sort of explanation, not that he was intending to dumb it down, just to give the appropriate analogy, "-sort of guardian. I use this to help keep people safe. Problem is I was having a busy day and wanted to make sure that it was working"

He looked at the lit gauge along the side. He could pretty much say that it wasn't his time either, but he was a bit beyond his time.

Bob was exploring when he happened upon K. He took one long look at the weapon. "American?" This was clearly the obvious conclusion.

He looked over his shoulder at Bob. Raised an eyebrow at the man. "The gun isn't."

"Hmm? Well, can't keep track of these things any more," he replied. "Never was much of a need."

"Depends on the line of work," he said idly, going back to reassemble the chamber and whir it back to life.

"That's quite some firepower you're carrying."

Narvin, for his part, had the 'innocuously lurking spy' thing down pat. Since he'd found out that some particularly valuable items had been stolen from some of his caches (by Braxiatel, he was certain), he'd been almost obsessive about checking and rechecking their security as of late. But even he could take a moment to appreciate what looked like a nice bit of technology.

"I wouldn't leave it alone, though. Weapons like that have lately had an alarming tendency to go missing."

He was somehow a little surprised at the introduction. But he was pretty proud of the gun, one of the MiB's finest and he was glad for his organizations work. "I hope that isn't a threat, Sunshine, because I keep my enemies close and my guns closer."

He stood and needlessly dusted off his prim black suit. "It's a Megasonic Destructor Array. Large type Verudian weapon. Meant to crack and disable heavily armored transport vehicles, ships, and mobile shells. None of which I've seen around here, I just wanted to take a break and do an ammunition check." Especially since he'd pop back in at the time he left. But, in case this person was worried he was planning on taking anything. "If necessary I can get my license, registration and proof of ownership, and discretionary permit for armament and force."

For all his thousand-odd years of experience, that was the first time that anyone had ever called Narvin 'sunshine'. The nickname earned Kay a slightly incredulous look and pause while Narvin tried to figure out how, exactly, to respond to that. Ignoring it seemed the safest option, at the moment.

"That's... not necessary -- I doubt the Twins care what weapons are brought here, and I certainly don't." Rassilon's ghost, humans were strange. He glanced at the weapon curiously. "Verudian? I haven't heard of them."

Which wasn't really surprising. The only aliens that were high on Narvin's list of priorities were generally the ones he was in the process of time-looping, or some such.

It was probably for the best. Apparently the inability to use nicknames or honorable titles tended to place Kay at a disadvantage with a lowered capacity to speak adequately.

"Begging your pardon, I'm still not entirely sure who would be considered official, brochure and educational presentation or not." He offered Narvin a quick, placating sort of smile before he was all business again.

"Bipedal race with saurischian ancestry. Traffickers in medical and weapons technology. Light-speed capable at their point of advancement. There's some going missing?"

bit um, late... boxtheotaku March 3 2011, 12:24:50 UTC
Oh, hey, Kay, guess who is just here? Well alright you don't have to but you can bet it's someone slightly annoying with love of big guns. Aw yeah. He is young even, what a bliss it must be. Even if he really can be like an old man... Box will be one of those people who probably won't enjoy what life might give to them, because it stomped on them at the beginning a lot. Sensitive people can't really just go on. But this is another story. This otaku here is so much more interested in something else.

So Box is approaching Kay until his personal space lets him. Let's call it two meters. Maybe a little closer, because his curiosity is too big.

"What is that?" and Box has fascination in his voice. Because that is a big ass thing. Or well, to him it is. "Some agent thing?"

Is okay! I was prepping for a midnight movie anyway. most_feared March 5 2011, 10:56:42 UTC
He didn't really react, not just watched Box approach out of the corner of his eye until he was nearly upon him. Then he looked up at him, slowly and deliberately, giving him a long stare.

"It's a gun."

Duh.

"Megasonic Destructor Array. It destroys things through low frequency sonic vibration. ...Or lets you talk to whales on low settings." Which... he might have done while exceptionally bored, back when Cee was still sane and it was worth it to go to Atlantis.

"A gun!" Box knew that, but when an agent says it it sounds so much more cooler. He crouched down on Kay's level, eying the machine. "Wow- Wow! How it can do that? What is the seed of it, does it require charging, how do you charge it, what do you shoot at?" though Box blinked at the whale thing. It's so random. "Whales...? They want to say things too?"

Yes, Box has a lot of questions. Agents are so cool, and now he can talk to one! It's just like when he met with Suiseiseki-chan, or with Miku-chan!
