"Och, now where have ye gotten off to, ye daft beastie?" Jamie was muttering as well, having come to the Plane to check up on his pet and discovering the creature missing. His own search had been quite fruitless, so far, but just so happened to take him close enough to overhear Christine's ranting.

It was enough to distract him from looking for the ferret for the moment, and he made his way over to where she was standing, a look of concern on his face. "Christine? What's the matter?"

Christine looked up from her ranting to see Jamie and she sighed, some of her anger deflating.

"Jamie, hi. I lost something back home, or it was taken from me. And seeing as how the only three people who can override my access code and get into my room are a ladies' man Captain, and emotionless Vulcan, and a cranky doctor, I'm thinking none of them stole my ballet shoes. So it has to be this place messing with me again."

Taken from her? That sounded awfully familiar to Jamie, and while it could be coincidence, there's a letter in the pocket of his sheepskin vest that made him think otherwise. "Something of mine's gone as well, so I'd say you may not be the only one this is happening to. Ye said they took your ballet shoes?"

That's sounding somewhat familiar as well, and a faint, thoughtful frown appeared on his face. The reason behind the thought didn't immediately come to him, however, so he pulled out out the piece of now slightly crumpled paper and opened it up, smoothing out the worst of the crinkles. He held it out so she could take a look, if she liked. "Did ye get a note like this?"

Christine nodded and reached out to take a look at the letter. "Yeah, the very same," she answered on a sigh. "I think this place is messing with peoples' abilities. Switching around powers. Oliver had his ability taken from him and replaced with another. And he had an item taken from him. But it's different for me. I don't have any special powers to get taken away, and I don't think I was given one. Someone or something just swiped my shoes."
