Peony moved away from Jade, standing on Asch's other side and looking down on him.

"What are you talking about? A kid like this wouldn't care about something like a passport"

Peony took one of the reports Jade had written and dropped it on top of Asch.

"Why should he care anyway?" Peony asked, looking only at Jade as he spoke. "He doesn't care that he'll probably ruin this world and countless others. He's that kind of selfish, reckless guy."

Peony shrugged, looking down at Asch again. "Right Asch?"

Asch scrambled from his perch when Jade's voice appeared followed by that of the Emperor. He knew better than to draw his sword at this kind of disturbance, but his hand was on the hilt anyway. The element of surprise was theirs. He at least had the presence of mind to catch the reports Peony tossed at him.

... So that was how it was going to be. He threw the reports aside. What was previously a flash of annoyance flared into cold, deep-seated anger at the Score, at the people who refused to tell him anything, at his own situation.

"What the hell-you can't just drop in here!" Yes, they could, but that was beside the point. Asch looked like hell but he didn't care; that just made him look as angry and cornered as he felt. "And you... you might be the Emperor, but I don't need you to lecture me about ruining the world. You sent Luke to Akzeriuth. You should've known what would happen."
