Oliver doesn't have to wait long. Luckily, Jamie has been on the Plane for a bit, going back and forth to check the messages left by the kiosk, so a few minutes later, he comes into the bar, looking around to see if he can spot his friend.

"Oliver? Oh, there ye are."

He's somewhat relieved to see him, but rather than sitting down immediately, the Scot goes around behind the bar and starts looking through the bottles. He could use something a wee bit stronger than ale at the moment, he thinks. Finding a bottle of whisky, he sets it on the bar, then flicks a glance over to Oliver.

"Do ye want me to get ye a glass, too, or are ye fine with what ye have?"

Oliver is surprised when Jamie arrives so quickly. "Hey!" He gives his friend a wave and a somewhat-wan smile. He's about to gesture to the seat next to him when he realises that isn't quite where Jamie is headed. Sipping his pint, he watches his friend curiously.

It doesn't take long to work out Jamie's intention, though. Oliver frowns. Concerned, he asks, "That bad, huh? You okay?"

But at Jamie's question, Oliver downs the rest of his pint in one quick gulp and pushes the empty glass away. He has a feeling that he and Jamie are in a rather similar mood at the moment. "No, hit me. What've you got there?"

"Whisky," Jamie replies, turning the bottle around so Oliver can see the Glenmorangie label. He reaches back under the bar and pulls out two glasses, pouring a sizeable amount of the amber liquid into each and sliding one over to his friend.

That answers the second question, but not the first. Jamie regards Oliver over the top of his own glass for a long moment, then takes a swig of his drink and sets the glass back down.

"And...I'm not sure," he says finally. "Depends on what ye mean by 'okay'. I've not set anything on fire recently. Apparently ye have?"

"Ohh, good call." Oliver smiles his approval, sliding easily into his normal cheerful facade. Inside he's full of concern and worry, both about the current situation and about Jamie. Still, joking around is easier than showing that concern for a start--particularly when it comes to talking about a situation that genuinely scared him. His smile turns sheepish, and he scratches his head. "Yeah, uh...would you believe a book in my room on the TARDIS? On the bright side, I found out the TARDIS' got sprinklers..."

But his smile turns into a more serious expression then. Finding out what's upsetting Jamie so that he can help is most important, and he refuses to be sidetracked by questions about his own experience. He leans forward and, concerned, asks, "But what happened to you?"
