Light Princess and Oliver is her platonic prince friend who assumes whatever the Machine is pulling now will surely kill him.
In a far off kingdom, there was a palace built along the sandy banks of a large lake, bordered by well kept woods. The sky was blue and sunny, and birds chirped in the trees.
And Christine Chapel stood at the lake's edge in a long, white gown, looking utterly confused.
"Oh, come on,," she muttered under her breath. Between the dangerous away missions and the Machine messing with people, she'd had enough screwing up of her life for a lifetime. She turned in a circle, taking in her surroundings, but it wasn't until she looked at the palace that she began to feel odd stirrings inside her. It was almost as if she knew that palace quite well.
She began to walk towards it, eyes moving along the windows and balconies until she focused in on one that was set right above the lake.
"That's my window," she said, and was startled to hear her own voice say it. What was happening to her?
She continued her path towards the palace, but was beginning to feel distinctly uncomfortable for some reason. Walking just felt odd. And there was this overwhelming feeling that she belonged here in this place that, moments ago, she would have sworn she'd never seen before in her life.
A feeling of absolute gaiety washed over her. All her worries and cares evaporated. She was the princess of this palace, daughter of the king and queen, and she was special.
With a great shriek of laughter, she braced her foot against the ground to take off running, but instead of moving forward, she only succeeded in launching herself up in the air, where the wind pushed her towards several fir trees.
She had just lost her gravity, and she couldn't care less.
