Two dead friends in less than a month

Summary: A voice from Minato's head tells him bad things happened to his friend Sam Tyler.

Minato was laying on his bed, half asleep with his history book over his face. Nothing wrong with resting one's eyes every once in a while during a hard night's studying. Junpei would agree! Not that Junpei ever did any studying.
It was during this not quite asleep phase that he heard a familiar voice. "Minato~" it said in a sing song voice. Minato grunted, acknowledging the boy's presence.
"I have something important to tell you." Minato grunted again. Pharos always came by a week or two before the next full moon and would say something that Minato hoped the child thought was meaningful. He had suspicion, though, that the moon was just Pharos' excuse to bug him two or three times a month. Now, it's not that he didn't like the creepy stalker child that lived in his mind. It's just that, you can only hear so many "warnings" about the next full moon before there really isn't anything to be warned about.
As if reading Minato's mind, the small boy in prisoner's clothes said, "It's not about the moon." This caused Minato to raise the book off his face, just enough to reveal one eye. The boy disappeared from his view. Minato could now feel his weight on the bed. "Something happened to a friend of yours. From the astral plane."
Minato took the book off his face so he could look at Pharos. He took a moment before deciding to ask, "You know about that?"
Pharos giggled, smiling widely. "Of course I do! I told you, didn't I? I'm always watching." Then he pouted playfully. "But this news is very depressing." He disappeared off the bed and was now in front of the door to Minato's room. "Something happened to Sam. Something very bad. Something kind of like what happened to your friend earlier this month."
His friend earlier this month? "Shinjiro-senpai?" He shot up in his bed, though his tone of voice didn't change. "Shinjiro died."
"I figured you ought to know."
"What happened to Sam?"
Pharos smiled and tilted his head to one side. "You can check on him if you want, but you won't be able to reach him."
"What happened to Sam?"
And Pharos disappeared. Out of the room, out of his reality, back to the recesses of Minato's mind, leaving Minato's question unanswered.
