The way of the mind is a way we choose upon, if we learn to accept things that we do not like, then we can learn to come forth among our self(s) with this factor of life. Experience is really an issue in this part. Which gives us the erg to change in the good way, which whom we want to become. Crying is a way that we can;t face what we don't see. Memories never die but, we can sure make them dimmer.

Thank you. Your telling me this really has helped me understand why I cry, and even though I still have to work at pushing these thoughts away, it feels better having someone tell me that I can change my reaction to this event. =)

I've found that the most effective way to forget is to completely absorb yourself in something that has no relation to whatever it is you're trying to forget (a game, a movie, a book, etc). It probably won't work forever, but at least for some time afterward, you won't have your mind on [insert Hitomi's bad memory here]. If you keep trying to force yourself to forget whatever it is, you'll just think about it more.
