Doom and Gloom

There are certain characters I don't like when they're completely in charge, and I just discovered that John Sheppard of SGA is one of them. The end of season 3 was so great, and then I watched the first two eps of 4 and aaaggghhhhh I'm very upset. Elizabeth is/was a very big part of the show for me so there's def a chance I'm going to hate the ( Read more... )

Yea....it really sucks, and it just doesn't feel the same without Elizabeth. I'm also conflicted, because I love that Sam gets to come into the show, but at the same time, I know she's not exactly welcome and I feel bad about that, because I love her too. These are very complicated feelings associated with fictional characters, lol.

I used to be really lactose intolerant, but I don't think I am anymore...?

The first half of Season 4 was so bad, omg. Every single episode is about one character being trapped somewhere with a secondary character with five minutes of screentime of the rest of the team planning a rescue tacked on. The one that isn't written like that involves everyone having amnesia, so the characters are essentially alone anyways. Not only are the episodes boring and lacking in ~family feels (because even if the writers don't write stuff in, usually the actors can make up for the scripts. which they can't do if they're not all together doing things.) but John is written like an empty shell (maybe because he acts more military the whole time?) and the guy that plays Rodney is the only person that carries any humanity or sense of realness ( ... )

I do adore Martin, Rob, and Carl, and didn't realize the pattern of Joseph and Paul being a bad combo.

I actually like Carter quite a bit, but she feels like a cameo rather than part of the team.
Oh, I'm glad! And yea, that's true. Oh man, Woolsey -I don't even remember how we got over it. I think they made it bearable? xD

lol oh jeez xD

I was worried about Woolsey as well, but they changed his character a bit or somehow shifted circumstances so we see him having dry, self-deprecating humor most of the time and being involved in things as little as possible.

What I didn't expect is not liking Keller. She's just sort of randomly there and they keep devoting entire episodes to her and the fifth season in general is just really boring and not very well put together. Most of the episodes actually have the team working together on things (unlike in the beginning of S4) but it's like they completely lost the chemistry/momentum/whatever of Seasons 1.5-3 and I'm back to multitasking as I watch :\
