well my health is getting a bit better, but after a few days of rest i'm back at running myself down... Yesterday was no exception... first of all i woke up in the morning to a call from my mom that my grandpa had died... it was expected and he had been dieing for the past 8 years or so, but it was still hard to take, he was one of the good ( Read more... )

Sorry to hear about your grandfather. I am glad you seem to have had a good relationship with him, though.

And don't think all of Washington state is that way! Some of us in-state students who couldn't afford to go anywhere else come from neighborhoods that are pretty diverse. Not that racism isn't still an issue there, but at least we don't pretend it's not.

this is true... i'm more talking about oly, but i do recognize that Tacoma and Seattle are quite diverse, and if Evergreen was in either of those cities, i wouldn't have a problem, i think it's just the fact that oly only has 20% non-white people in the entire city... and i'm not saying that washington is the only state... it's most of the country...
