Happy Birthday: Massu drabble set + 1 Jin drabble

Jul 03, 2010 21:46

A Massu drabble set in honor of his 24th Birthday. I've had most of these piled onto my hard drive since February so...some of them are quite old.

Anyway enjoy!

Disclaimer: I don't own them, I only own the huge poster I have in my room!

Title: Different
Summary: Masuda explains his outfit to an incredulous Shige

It seemed no one else noticed, as the room buzzed with confusion and conversation as the Johnny’s all calmly chatted and shed their costumes.

A quick glance around the room, told Shige he’d be alone in helping Masuda out with his latest wardrobe malfunction.

Koyama seemed rather pre-occupied with lecturing a few of the younger members of Hey! Say! JUMP in how to best follow directions. Yamapi was off in a corner exchanging words with Ikuta and Akanishi.

Ryo was busily watching in amusement as Yoko and Maru had a fierce starring contest, while Hina attempted to gain some sort of attention from the group. And Tegoshi had merely disappeared to god knows where, with god knows who. It was later that Shige noted that Kamenashi was also MIA

And so with a sigh, Shige found himself searching around for Masuda, and his uncomfortable clothes. He soon found him standing by one of the side mirrors at the edge of the room, struggling with the collar of his jacket.

“Need a little help?” he asked.

Masuda turned to him, and nodded gratefully.

“I still don’t understand how you let that stylist talk you into wearing the tight vest and a buttoned collar!” Shige said, as he worked out the buttons.

“It’s not easy to say no,” Masuda replied simply. “Besides it’s good to be different, ne?” he said, with a slight smile.

Shige glanced down at his own unbuttoned and rather casual look in comparison to the rest of the group, he supposed Masuda was right. But he’d choose comfort over being different any day.

“Well maybe next time you can be different without cutting off air circulation,” Shige said, as he finally managed to unhook the top button, and allowing Masuda a good deep sigh of relief, as he took in a deep breathe.

“Mmm, is that a new Cologne?” Masuda asked brightly.

“Yeah,” Shige replied.

“I like it, it’s different,” he said with a final twinkle.

Shige couldn’t really say anything else, instead he smiled, and resumed his undressing.

Title: Oblivious
Summary: Masuda’s a bit oblivious, and Tegoshi doesn’t seem to notice

Shige always thought it was a rather strange sight to witness the usual things occurring in their dressing room.

It happened nearly everyday, no one could really say when, but it always happened.

Masuda of course held his usual spot on one of the loveseats, busily munching on a few snacks, moments later he was joined by Tegoshi.

To any other person it wouldn’t seem anything out of the ordinary, and it really wasn’t but it was interesting nonetheless. It was quite obvious to practically everyone with either eyes or ears that Tegoshi was flirting, shamelessly as well.

However what occurred next might have shocked anyone, as Masuda merely replied back in a rather calm and collected manner, obviously unfazed by Tegoshi’s flirting and pheromones.

At the end, Tegoshi finally got up, and dejectedly walked off to bother Ryo.

Shige couldn’t help but smile, as Masuda glanced back at him, and smiled back with equal vigor.

It wasn’t much of a secret why Masuda was so oblivious.

Title: Confessions
Summary: Tegoshi needs to confess, Masuda tries to help

“Have you decided how to confess?” Masuda asked, poking his chopstick into the chicken.

Tegoshi shook his head, “I’m scared,” he replied.

“Of what? Ryo-kun’s always nice to you.”

“That doesn’t mean anything, I mean you’re nice to me too,” Tegoshi replied, fretfully massaging his head in despair.

“But I’m nice to everyone,” Masuda interjected, blowing softly on the warm chicken.

“And Ryo-kun scares everyone!” Tegoshi nearly wailed.

“All the more reason it should be easier for you, Ryo-kun is nicest to you,” Masuda said, with a slight eye roll, already growing a bit impatient with the topic.

“But he won’t accept it all that easily!” Tegoshi wailed, again.

“You chipped the edge of his guitar, he’ll cope with it, besides we even glued it together, he didn’t notice,” Masuda said.

“I CHIPPED HIS GUITAR!!!” Tegoshi practically yelled.

Masuda blinked up at him, as he’d risen from his seat.

“You need to relax,” he said. “I’ll tell him if you’re really this worked up about it.”

Tegoshi turned his bright eyes, which slowly had begun to fill with tears towards Masuda.

“Really?” he asked. Masuda nodded slowly, it wasn’t that big a deal really.

“You’re the best!” he cried, throwing his arms around Masuda.

Masuda couldn’t help but agree.

Title: MaSuperman
Summary: Ryo discovers Masuda’s super power.

Ryo was amazed, as always, he watched aghast as Masuda for the twelfth time managed to keep a cool face as Tegoshi once again managed to ruin his concentration.

He didn’t know how he did it, Ryo always thought he had a high tolerance for things, but at that moment he knew if he were in Masuda’s position he probably would have spewed out a few choice words and sent Tegoshi running off in tears.

Instead Masuda merely answered Tegoshi’s question with a soft smile, and again turned back to the song he was trying to set a meter for.

Tegoshi happily pranced off, leaving the room silent again, with Ryo continuing to observe the seemingly happy man out of the corner of his eye.

“MASSU!” Koyama shrieked, running into the room, looking as though his birthday and Christmas had all come early.

“Why didn’t you tell me about this!” he cried, practically throwing his arms around the stunned Masuda.

Ryo blinked, another interruption. Koyama persisted in his long speech about how happy he was for Masuda, and again threw his arms around the shorter man, and planted an annoying kiss on his head, before jogging out of the room screeching, “SHIGE!”

Again Masuda turned back to his work, a smile again plastered on his face. Ryo couldn’t help but stare in wonder.

He really was Masuperman.

Title: Smile
Summary: Masuda gets laughed at…and his reaction is a bit surprising

Masuda always wondered if it was his face, or perhaps his hair, he wasn’t sure, but there definitely was something that sent people into fits of giggles if they ever saw him.

Sure he knew he wasn’t the most good-looking guy around, but he knew he wasn’t a monster either.

He walked at a steady pace, observing the changing leaves as they floated down, caught in the wind. It was then that he felt the whisper of another person hopping along behind him.

He was about to turn around, but just as he was the two children scampered ahead, and turned around to glance at him.

They giggled, none too kindly, hiding their grins behind their chubby little hands. Masuda blinked, and could only smile back, the childish joy that radiated off their faces, enough to stop the slight annoyance that had built up in his stomach.

“Onii-chan has a nice smile,” the smaller of the two said, with a giggle, before pulling on the boys hand and running off.

That was a nice change.

Title: Tears
Summary: Masuda can cry…a lot, Only one person seems able to deal with it

Everyone knew Masuda was emotional, but no one really knew how to deal with it. And so when it came time to really seeing the smiling boy sob into his hands everyone was kind of at a loss.

Except that is, the one person who’d probably known him the longest.

Wordlessly Shige pulled the slightly shorter boy into a hug, allowing him to rest his head on his shoulder, gently patting his back, and whispering soothing words of comfort.

Everyone else could really only look on in slight surprise.

“Is that normal?” Ryo asked, staring at the two.

“I think it is,” Koyama responded, sounding unsure himself.

Moments later Masuda gave a final hiccup, before Shige withdrew from him slightly. He held him at arms length and gave him a shrewd look over, before he was satisfied, and gave a nod of approval.

“Alright, we’re good,” he announced, turning back to the group that had just stood starring back at him open-mouthed.

“I thought you were the cry baby,” Kusano said, giving Masuda an incredulous look, as the later carefully wiped the stray tear marks off his face.

“I’m not a cry baby,” Shige retorted, giving Kusano a slight shove as they made their way towards the arena.

Masuda trailing along, with Koyama by his side, worriedly asking questions.

“That was weird,” Tegoshi muttered, as he followed on Yamapi’s heels.

“We’ll deal with it,” Yamapi said confidently.

At least he was until it was time for their first Dome concert.

Masuda dissolved into tears, the only one near him Yamapi. Yamapi stared aghast, at the profound amount of tears the smiling boy was able to produce in just minutes.

“Someone get Shige!” he called.

Title: Messages
Summary: Jin gets an unexpected surprise.

He’d been back less than a week, and already he was itching to go out and do something.
It almost didn’t feel as though he really was back, he’d hardly seen his friends, most of them busy working.

And he was a bit disappointed he’d yet to see any of his band mates. He knew he probably wasn’t the vision of fluffy bunnies and rainbows, but still he did miss them.

11:55 PM the clock read.

Five more minutes to a new age, literally speaking of course. He merely had to wait a few minutes before he was branded 26.

The clock slowly moved ahead, and then with a ding struck 12:00.

Immediately after he received a few messages, the first from Yamapi, wishing him a happy birthday and demanding a meeting over drinks, as was custom between the two friends.

He received quite a few mails from many members of the agency, his ‘younger brother’ even sent him one, wishing him the greatest birthday ever, along with a rather sweet message detailing some of the finer points of their friendship.

“Eloquent as ever Yabu.” He muttered with a slight smile.

Replying to each mail took quite a bit of time, and so once he’d finally managed to send a response to everyone the clock was soon to strike one.

It was as he was briefly casting a glance over his messages that he realized with a pang that none of the KAT-TUN members had sent him a message.

Thinking logically Jin couldn’t really blame them, after all they weren’t even in the country at the moment, they were busy trying to pull off a worldwide tour without him.

Still even though logic said that a mail from them would probably come later Jin still felt a guilty pang, perhaps they really were mad. Even though they’d all encouraged him, urged him to go, Ueda even going so far as to threaten to slug him if he didn’t go.

Still leaving again had somehow made him feel a bit…traitorous, to leave again, and somehow he felt the others may feel the same way.

Jin let out a sigh, and flopped onto his bed, knowing there was little possibility he’d actually get sleep after the guilt trip he’d just given himself.

After about half an hour of starring at his ceiling, and noting that he probably should try and clean the slight grime in the very corner of the room he felt his phone vibrate against his thigh.

Taking a quick look he saw he had a video message coming from Nakamaru’s cell phone.

He paused for a split-second before opening the message.

“OTANJOUBI OMEDETO!”

All 5 members stood rather closely shoving their faces as close to the phone as possible, all of them talking a mile a minute.

“Akanishi!” Koki yelled.

“Jin-kun!’ Taguchi said, waving.

And a never-ending array of names continued to be spouted before Ueda managed to shut them up.

“We’re sending you this now, since we’ve just gotten out of work,” he began to explain, before Kamenashi cut in.

“And we wanted an make sure you got our birthday wishes.”

“So Happy Birthday,” Taguchi added.

“And congrats on finishing and finally getting that tour of yours,” Koki said, a happy smile splayed across his face.

“And we hope you’re happy, no moping today!” Nakamaru declared, waving a finger at the phone, with a playful smile.

“Oh, and lastly,” Ueda said, pausing. “We miss you.”

“A lot,” Kamenashi added meaningfully.

“So you better have fun for us!” Koki ordered.

“Or we’ll get Uebo to give you a good 1-2 if we hear you were moping, and boring!” Taguchi added as a sweet threat.

“Byeeee!” They all chorused, waving at the phone.

Jin stared at the phone, unable to fight the smile that slowly creeped onto his handsome face.

“They really are dorks,” he muttered to himself, rather happily as saved the message.

He didn’t know what it was, perhaps his bed felt more comfortable, or perhaps the tea he’d drunk earlier had indeed helped, but somehow he was able to fall into a peaceful sleep.

But deep within the confines of his heart he knew, the sweet and strange message his band mates had sent him, perhaps singularly was one of the best presents he’d received.

An acknowledged, acceptance and forgiveness.

And there we have it. =D

I hope you all enjoyed it, and I guess I should apologize for my slight bias in inputting Shige/mass into a few of the drabbles, but I just couldn't help myself!

Anyway hope you liked it, comments and criticisms are always appreciated!
