Ha ha! That so reminds me of when I tried to order Greyhound bus tickets over the phone, years ago.

Me: "I'd like to order round-trip tickets to Winnipeg, Manitoba, please."
Agent: "What state, ma'am?"
Me: "Winnipeg, Manitoba."
Agent: "What state, ma'am?"
Me: "It's in the Province of Manitoba."
Agent (in impatient, irritated voice): "What STATE, ma'am?"
