I love your hockey posts. You remind me of me talking about the Lightning. I still love my Rangers, and I know them well, but the Lightning - being close to home, having Brian Boyle, AND getting to see a live game, has come to be my obsession of late. I worry about them going into the playoffs, because they keep losing dmen to injury. But they've got the Triplets and Callahan/Stamos, and well, I could go on and on.

As for their announcers (I don't listen to radio, so I only know their local tv guys), the Chief is senile and it's a damn fine thing he's retiring because otherwise I'd have to go punch him for some of the stupid shit he says.

I wish all the teams would get rid of their "ice girls" and bullshit and just play good hockey.

I'm looking forward to hopefully getting to see a bit more of the Bolts in the playoffs, I really haven't seen much of them this year till now.

And ugh, SO true. The Islanders are actually some of the worst for that vis a vis the ice girls in particular, which drives me batshit. WOMEN ARE NOT DECORATIONS, arrrrgh.
