Yuletide Letter!
Hi, Yuletide writer!

Firstly, thank you for signing up -- I am beyond thrilled that you're interested in writing a baby-fandom-of-my-heart. :)
Basically, I am going to be thrilled with whatever you come up with, but I figure it can't hurt to put some ideas up - mostly because I know I struggle writing into a void myself. If you have an idea already anyway, then awesome - as ever, optional details are totes optional and offered more in the spirit of behing helpful if you'd like a prompt type of thing.
I don't like non-con, torture, grimdark for the sake of grimdark, abuse or basically anything that would usually be warned for. I prefer happy endings, but if a wistful or bittersweet place is where your story goes, that's fine. I just don't like suffering for the sake of suffering.
Tropes I love include but are not limited to friends to lovers, found families, teaaaaaaam, pining (preferably requited!), first times, humour, AUs (especially sf/fantasy type ones; x in SPACE!! is very much up my alley, for example), magical realism, competence porn, fake dating, had to get married for reasons (bonus points if said reason is tax related :D), friends with benefits that grows into feelings, epistolary fic, plotty things, porny things, classic tropes being used for good or evil; basically I'm happy to be sold on anything.
Star Wars: X Wing
I love the comics and the books both, but truth be told my heart probably belongs to Wraith Squadron even more than the Rogues. I love a bunch of screwups, I have to say.
Here, I love the wider universe around them as well, so I would be thrilled with any sort of story set around any of the pilots (or support staff), or even an OC would be great here. I totally ship Face/Phanan (feel free to AU chapter 12!), I love all the female pilots a lot (something Shalla or Dia or Lara focused would also rule super hard) or something on Runt or Piggy or any of the other non-human characters would also be tremendous. Basically, anything set pre-Hand of Thrawn is right on the money, in terms of my preferences. Mission-fic, character-fic, crazy adventures off-duty -- any of that would be awesome.
As a further note, I loved the nuance Allston added to the universe in Mercy Kill -- the more conscious acknowledgment of anti-alien sentiments and racism/xenophobia felt like something that had been conspicous in its absence, and I appreciated that touch.
I also violently disliked the NJO arc as a whole so if you want to pretend none of that ever happened then you absolutely have my blessing.
EDITED TO ADD: Oh shit, I realize looking back over this that I don't even remember who the nommed characters ARE; I am absolutely 1000% happy to get anything about ANY of the nommed characters, I just wanted to also express that I'd be cool with other characters as well, very much hope this hasn't given my writer a bad moment /o\ Basically shenanigans and interpersonal relationships are my JAM, so if you want to do friendship fic for any of the Big Four or shippy fic (or, uh, space-ship action sequence stuff!) then that is also completely golden. Basically X-Wing pilots forever. <3
Saddle Club
Not gonna lie, I requested this mostly because I have found precisely one piece of Saddle Club fic on the net ever, and I would love to see more. I'm in this one firstly for the potential of girlslash (any two or all three full-time saddle club members would be great!), but I also do still have a deep nostalgic love for their adventures, and I am all over anything that just focuses on them and their riding as well. I still have some passing familiarity with the horsey world, and as long as it doesn't go to a bestiality place (hey, I thought I should specify just in case!) then I am all good. I'd love to see them a bit older or in college or something if that takes your fancy -- I was never terribly satisfied by the canon series meant to take place then.
I'd be thrilled especially with Carole/Lisa or Carole/Stevie (I think Lisa and Stevie, much as they may be great friends, would PROBABLY end in fireworks as romance, although if you wanna go for the OT3 then by all means PLEASE DO :D)
Carole is such a great character, and I love the way she's so good with horses and yet feels like she doesn't have quite the same grasp with people; I'd love love love to see how that spins out in a romance, or even just a slice-of-life snippet. The relationship she has with her dad is also awesome and something I always appreciated seeing.
If you want to go more towards the gen side, I have hundreds of tattered paperback pony stories from various Pullein-Thompsons and all the others of that ilk, so I would love anything that's along those lines, too (albeit with at least modern sensibilities towards racism/sexism/homophobia, please.) AUs set in different times or places with Carole (plus other Saddle Club members as you prefer) would also be super awesome; basically go where your heart takes you.
Basically: adventure or comedy or action stories involving ponies? YES PLEASE. If there are also (or instead) women making out with each other? EVEN BETTER.

I'm so fascinated by Abigail and there's so, so much potential for awesome stories with her.
This is probably the gen-est of my prompts (though natch if you want to age her up and tell me about an older Abigail kicking ass and probably being an excellent practitioner -- or whatever else she might do instead of that! -- then go nuts); mostly I'd love an adventure or plot story where she gets to take a starring role, or a slice of life story for anything else she gets up to whenever she's not being supervised by various members of the Folly and their assorted allies.
If you want to go to a sort of Abigail: the Folly is like Sarah Jane Adventures: Doctor Who type of place then that would also rule. If you want to bring in other characters from the books as well that's perfectly fine by me. FWIW, I do also ship Peter/Beverley and/or Peter/Lesley if I'm shipping people in this universe. But basically I would love for Aaronovitch to do a YA series based around Abigail and anything in that vein would be stupendous.
Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries
Mac, Mac, Mac <3 I love Mac. I ship Mac/happiness super fucking hard, so basically anything you want to write about her would be gratefully received and loved. I'd be perfectly happy to see her shipped with Phryne if that speaks to you; if you want to come up with an OC then by all means please do go with that, too. I love her independence and attitude and competence, and I hope we get to see more and more of that in canon, but in the interim I would also love to see more of her in fic too.
I'm also happy to ship Phyrne/Jack and Dot/Hugh so if either or both of those show up as a side pairing then that's a bonus. AUs and so on are also perfectly wonderful here if the urge strikes you, but I do enjoy so much of what the show does with the time setting, too.
Spice Girls
Shameless request for fluffy and/or shiny pop music shenanigans, preferably of the f/f variety. I have to admit that I enjoy the hell out of the Spice Girls movie; anything hitting that kind of aware and affectionate tone - whether it's gen or explicit lesbian porn or anything in between - would be marvellous. Meta commentary and/or pop culture jokes would also be great on the side, but mostly: ridiculously unrealistic shenanigans and/or kissing, please!
Factual and/or canonical accuracy is very much not necessary in the slightest for this prompt, although if that's your thing, then feel free!
...look, having shame is just Not In the Yuletide Spirit, right? OR SO I HOPE.
