Intended filename: 未監修テキスト資料 mikanshuu tekisuto shiryou, "text assets not yet reviewed [by the licensor]"

Japanese IME kanji suggestion: みかん集テキスト資料 mikan-shuu tekisuto shiryou, "text assets for anthology of mandarin oranges"

I think Windows is hungry!

The suggested filename is much more interesting. Are you going to rename your computer Oishinbo?

Also, I am sad, because I never got the hang of Kanji, and my Kana are pretty much all gone.

Kanji aren't hard to deal with individually; it's just the sheer number of them and the fact that they tend to have at least two pronunciations depending on how they're used. (Chinese, I gather, sticks with one-per-character, but on the other hand they've got thousands more.)

And the kana should come back with a little practice! There's only so many of them. Katakana in particular are fun to practice because nine times out of ten you get an English word in some goofy pronunciation.

Oh, I know! It's just that I have really no opportunity to actively use the Japanese: nihonjin are not buying a lot of antique maps these days, and I'm putting more time into music so I don't have as much left over for Anime as I used to...
