kyuhyun decides to dance during eunhyuk's dance break
When Kyuhyun asks, Hankyung and Siwon look at each other and frown. “Seriously?” they ask and when Kyuhyun nods fervently, eyes wide in earnest and sincerity, the two of them groan.
The word spreads and Heechul instantly cracks up only to be jabbed in the elbow by a scolding Eeteuk which results in the two of them engaging in a little cat fight. Sungmin smiles awkwardly while Ryeowook covers Yesung’s mouth to prevent him from saying anything stupid. Shindong glances around at everyone uncomfortably before walking over to Kyuhyun, who’s looking at all of them so expectantly, Shindong doesn’t think it’s fair that he’s the one that has to tell him.
“Um Kyu - “
“Okay.” Everyone freezes at the word and they all look at each other, baffled. Who in their right mind would agree to the magnae’s ridiculous request?
“Okay.” Eyes finally settle on Eunhyuk, who’s leaning against the doorframe, arms crossed over his chest, and looking uncharacteristically cool. “You can do my dance part.”
Everyone talks at once, protests on the tips of tongues, disbelief written all over their faces, but Kyuhyun runs past all of them and throws his arms around Eunhyuk’s neck.
“Thank you.”
The room becomes abnormally quiet and no one questions it after that.
Eeteuk and Eunhyuk watch the Evergreen concert in silence. Then the music for Eunhyuk’s solo comes up and Eeteuk drags his eyes from the screen to look at Eunhyuk. He watches as the younger man’s shoulders tense in anticipation as Kyuhyun walks out to the middle of the stage.
Kyuhyun begins to dance, an embarrassed smile on his face the whole while, and Eunhyuk’s shoulders slowly relax, his own smile forming on his face.
Eunhyuk presses “pause” and turns his head only to see Eeteuk still looking at him. He raises a confused eyebrow. “It wasn’t that bad hyung,” he insists. At this, Eeteuk lets out a high-pitched cackle before patting Eunhyuk on the shoulder.
By the time Eunhyuk and Eeteuk get back home, everyone is there already, lounging tiredly on the couch, floor, complaining about aching muscles. While Eeteuk rushes to go play mother hen, Eunhyuk eyes the tired faces, looking for one in particular. Ryeowook notices Eunhyuk’s wandering gaze and merely points to the hallway. Eunhyuk nods in gratitude before striding coolly towards Kyuhyun’s room, confident thoughts about sweeping Kyuhyun off his feet dancing in his mind.
All his confidence flies away from him when he sees Kyuhyun hunched over his desk, fingers typing wildly at his keyboard. A lump forms in Eunhyuk’s throat and he backs away in hopes of exiting quietly only to slam against the door. Kyuhyun’s form stills and he turns his head slowly, annoyance written all over his face, but freezes when he notices Eunhyuk.
“Hyung?” Eunhyuk chuckles uneasily and waves at him. Kyuhyun’s face immediately breaks into such a big smile; Eunhyuk’s heart begins to beat faster. The younger boy strides over to where Eunhyuk is lying in his pathetic pile of bony limbs and kneels in front of him.
“Did you see me?” Kyuhyun’s eyes are sparkling and Eunhyuk’s throat becomes so dry he can’t do anything but nod. Kyuhyun’s grin widens more if that was possible and pulls a surprised Eunhyuk into a hug.
“Thanks hyung,” he whispers into Eunhyuk’s ear. “Even though I’m not good at dancing…I had a lot of fun doing it.”
Eunhyuk stays quiet for a moment, enjoying the younger boy’s warmth. Then he finally speaks, “I think you’re a perfectly adequate dancer.”
Kyuhyun snorts. Eunhyuk pulls away to look at Kyuhyun seriously. “Really! There are so many worse dancers out there…” Kyuhyun raises an amused eyebrow.
“Like who?”
Eunhyuk blinks. “Well…like,” he coughs slightly. “Heechul hyung.”
Kyuhyun immediately starts laugh and pretty soon Eunhyuk joins in and the two of them are sprawled out in the doorway, laughing like maniacs. Eunhyuk’s chest starts to hurt and when he looks up to say something to Kyuhyun, he freezes because the younger boy’s face is right in front of him.
The room turns silence. Eunhyuk’s heart is pounding so hard, he’s sure that Kyuhyun can hear it. Kyuhyun’s face is expressionless and he starts to lean in even closer to Eunhyuk.
He panics.
“K-Kyuhyun! What are you doing!” Eunhyuk tries to sound outraged and demanding but he only ends up sounding like a scared little girl. Kyuhyun just smirks at him, all traces of his boyish innocence gone.
“I just need something hyung,” he drawls. Eunhyuk freezes. Needs something…?
“St-“ Kyuhyun places his hands on Eunhyuk’s chest and pushes him to the floor, immediately straddling his hips so there’s no way for him to escape. Eunhyuk’s face flushes. “Kyuhyun!”
Kyuhyun dips his head towards Eunhyuk’s jaw and lightly blows on the skin making him shiver. Kyuhyun’s smirk grows. “Hyung,” he says in a sing-song tone and stretches his hand to Eunhyuk’s head to stroke the colored hair. Eunhyuk groans. Kyuhyun hums as he moves his head to the side of Eunhyuk’s face so that his mouth his hovering near the older boy’s ear.
“Hyung,” he says again, his tone huskier than before. He feels Eunhyuk shudder below him. “I need,” he whispers softly, breath washing over Eunhyuk’s ear. Eunhyuk closes his eyes, it’s way too much for his poor brain to take in.
“Dance lessons.”
Eunhyuk’s eyes shoot open to see an amused Kyuhyun. The younger boy finally gets off Eunhyuk and laughs at his baffled expression. “Jeez hyung,” Kyuhyun teases much to Eunhyuk’s embarrassment. “What did you think I needed? Hmm?”
Eunhyuk just groans and buries his face in his hands, curling up into a little ball, wishing that the earth would just swallow him whole.
I shouldn’t have given that brat my dance solo.
“Oh and hyung?” Eunhyuk doesn’t bother looking up at Kyuhyun as the younger boy kneels next to him again. “I forgot to say something.”
Eunhyuk mumbles something that sounds like “I don’t care,” but Kyuhyun ignores him and leans to whisper again.
“Private lessons.”
