ignorance is a jerk

tiffany is crazy and jessica has to deal.
Jessica knew that the girl was up to no good when he walked into the apartment, only to find Tiffany sitting by the phone, mouth set in a tight determined line. Jessica just stared at her. Tiffany blinked when she realized that she had company. “Oh, Jessica.”
“What are you doing?” Tiffany beamed brightly, as if she had been expecting that question from the him.
“Oh! I’m waiting for a call from Siwon. He likes me, you see.” Tiffany’s gaze went back to the phone eagerly. Jessica’s left eyebrow twitched severely.
“And how,” she started slowly, unsure of how to respond to Tiffany’s utter stupidity, “would you suppose that?” Tiffany shrugged.
“Oh you know. The CF we were filming yesterday-he seemed to be flirting with me a lot didn’t he? And he’s so nice and good looking so I thought I’d go for it. But it seemed like he was shy so I gave my number to Heechul to give to him. He’ll call any minute now.”
Tiffany stroked the phone affectionately and suddenly Jessica really wanted to throw up.
“And well, I have a knack for knowing these kinds of things you know?”
Just as Jessica was about to tell the her that Siwon was just being his normal self and he didn’t even like girls to begin with, his phone vibrated. Annoyed, he flipped it open to see he got a text message. From Heechul.
“Tell your ditzy roommate to quit hitting on my man! >:( I WILL destroy her!!”
Jessica wasn’t sure if she wanted to laugh or groan. She settled for sighing in exasperation and she quickly flipped her phone shut. “Yah, Tiffany - “
“So maybe I was wrong about Siwon,” Tiffany whispered excitedly into Jessica’s ear. “But I know for sure that Hongki has a crush on me. Look look, he’s staring over here!”
Jessica resisted the urge to bang her head against something hard as Tiffany waved at Hongki furiously. She froze when Tiffany motioned quickly for the boy to come over here. She started to shake her head and mouth “no no!” at the poor boy - but it was too late. Tiffany had already secured him in her trap.
“Hi ladies.” Hongki flashed a smile at them and Jessica just knew Tiffany was biting the inside of her cheek to resist squealing. Jessica decided not to kick Hongki in the balls for calling him a lady. Then, Tiffany began babbling, about nonsense that made sense to absolutely no one, and Jessica watched as Hongki’s smile progressively began to dim.
“I think we look a bit alike, don’t you think? It must be the hair or something.” Hongki nodded weakly and gave Jessica a desperate look that somewhat reminded her of a drowned puppy. Jessica mumbled profanities under her breath before grabbing Tiffany’s elbow and urging her to leave to get some food.
“Oooh McDonalds! Well then, call me Hongki yah!”
He never did.
Jessica quickly hid Minho behind her back when she saw that predatory glint in Tiffany’s eye as Jessican as she saw the tall boy. “No.” Jessica snapped as Tiffany approached the two of them with a smile. Tiffany’s smile immediately grew into a pout and an oblivious Minho just looked at them boredly.
“Eh?”
“But Sica,” Tiffany whined as Jessica drove them home. “You should’ve seen the look on his face. I just knew it - love at first sight - “
“Shut the hell up.”
Jessica almost walked out of the room when he saw Tiffany laying on the bed pouting. Almost. But he ended up walking toward the other girl anyway, sitting beside her. “Yah.” Jessica tapped Tiffany’s forehead with her index finger. Tiffany wrinkled her nose and flipped away, her back now facing Jessica.
Jessica blinked at this. “Something wrong?” Tiffany turned to give Jessica a rather pitiful look. Jessica sighed. “Tiffany - “
“It’s these boys,” Tiffany wailed. “My intuition is normally so right, but these stupid males aren’t cooperating. Obviously something is wrong with them.”
Jessica couldn’t help the anger that bubbled inside of her. “If you were such a genius,” she snapped in such a vicious tone that Tiffany’s eyes widened in hurt, “You would realize that the person that really likes you is right in front of your eyes.”
Tiffany blinked at Jessica, absolutely astounded. Jessica panted a bit, her anger and adrenaline dying down. She stared at the confused Tiffany grimly. “Shit I shouldn’t have said that.” Jessica immediately rose, ready to leave anywhere as long as it was away from the other girl.
“Wait!” Tiffany gripped the edge of Jessica’s shirt tightly. Jessica closed her eyes, slowly counted to five, and opened them to see Tiffany looking determinedly at her. “You never said anything.” Tiffany accused. Jessica could’ve laughed.
“What was I supposed to say? Oh hey Fany, I’m terribly sorry to say that despite being your best friend and a girl,” Jessica practically spat the word out and Tiffany winced at the venom in her voice. “I find myself ridiculously in love with you, so would you please not reject me?”
Jessica meant to have her voice angry and sour the entire time, but she couldn’t help the shakiness that took over her voice at her last words. Tiffany fell silent, looking at the pink fabric between her fingers thoughtfully.
“You’re supposed to say I love you,” Tiffany commented softly, cheeks suddenly very pink. Jessica blinked at her and despite herself, began to smile.
“You stupid stupid girl,” she said fondly and she sat back down to wrap her arms around Tiffany. Tiffany was stiff for a moment before eagerly returning the hug, relishing in Jessica’s warmth.
“You know,” Tiffany said a week later to Jessica excitedly. “I’m pretty sure Yuri has a thing for me.”
Jessica stared at Tiffany for a while, waiting for her girlfriend to laugh and play it off as a joke. But when she saw that the other girl was entirely convinced of her theory, she sighed and promptly took out her phone to text a warning to Yuri.
