Why you should read this ...
This makes for a very refreshing read - not only is it gen, but it features a unique perspective and time period. Although I can't comment on the accuracy of the historical setting, it is quaint and differentiated enough from modern Hogwarts to make you feel like you've gone back in time. The Fat Friar's journey from young wizard to ghost is enjoyable and the author provides a reasonable explanation for why he would have ended up as a ghost.
Another wonderful bit of this story is how the author manages to flesh out very minor characters and bring them to life in a way that makes the scene and setting of the story much richer with their lives and history.
