Summary: Just how did a new translation of The Tales of Beedle the Bard by Hermione Granger make it into Muggle bookstores? Minerva McGonagall explains.
Why you should read this ...
Several reasons, first of all, you won't have seen anything like it before, I'll bet! So it's a fresh topic, and it's handled with careful, masterly writing. It features McGonagall in first-person point of view, which may feel off-putting in the first paragraph or so, but sinks into McGonagall's character quickly such that you'll feel as though you are her.
The crowning glory of the piece for me, though, is how accurately Hermione is portrayed in both her strengths and (more importantly, perhaps) flaws. Add to all this an interesting treatment of research study at Hogwarts, you get one very good read to set you thinking.
