Why you should read this ...
Sad as it is to think of a Weasley child as a Squib, the author deals with it beautifully. Young Fred is taken from the day the Hogwarts letters arrived to budding adulthood is a story that doesn't gloss over the troubles a Squib navigating the wizarding world would have, from simple things like everyday charms he can't cast to facing discrimination and taunts from wizarding children and the indignity of needing someone magical to stand up for him. While I thought the later part of the story went a bit too fast - I would have liked more between his school life and college years - the handling of this story overall was well done and it is a heart-rending but enjoyable tale.
