Summary: Draco didn't think there was much reason to hope for a better future. Asteria proved him wrong.
Why you should read this ...
This isn't just a fic about how Draco and Asteria came to be a couple - that's part of it, but the whole thing is so much more. The author deals with the trauma and mess that was left after the war in a very realistic, vivid way, by showing us just how affected different people were. No glossing over the hard stuff here, but she brings us out of the difficult times and towards the future. The non-linear narrative works well because we get to piece together the story, very much like how the characters put their lives and their world back together again.
I won't delve into too much detail because I don't want to give anything away - part of the enjoyment in this fic is finding out how the title applies (it really is awesome).
Just a note, though - this is a long one-shot (nearly 40K words), so it's probably best not to get sucked in if you don't have enough time. Because once you start you won't want to stop before the end.
