This is a beautiful portrayal of Snape and the decisions and difficult path he has to take between HBP and DH. willow_wand highlights the depth of his character and his struggles and strength to face them perfectly.
The drabble was written for genhp_ldws and for three prompts, which segue into one another beautifully. It's truly amazing work, structured and carefully written and rich in character development. And all in less than 500 words!
If you like Snape, you have to read this. If you hate Snape, you also have to read this. You can't not love it either way!
(And yes, I beta-ed it, but let's overlook that bias because this is truly an awesome piece.)
