This could not possibly fit the series any better. Written in Katniss's first-person narrative, it reads as though it comes straight out of the epilogue of Mockingjay. It isn't just the description of the events that is so believable, but the style of it - the way Katniss's voice tells the story is completely her.
I also can't make this rec without gushing about the ending of the fic, because it's rare to find a line that reads so beautifully and so naturally.
