It's short and simply written, but it conveys the horror of the reaping and combined shock and terror of being picked. It fleshes out Thresh and the one scene we get of him letting Katniss go, for Rue's sake. It's a realistic portrayal of how trapped these Panem citizens are with the Games and the terrible choices that are forced upon them at a tender age. This is a heartbreaking piece.
