I'm always very impressed when a story manages to suck me in and make me believe its version of events even though it disagrees with my interpretation of canon. While this story isn't how I imagined Snape's PoV of DH to have happened, it really worked for me nonetheless, and tugged at my heartstrings into the bargain. It takes good writing to create a sympathetic yet believably in-character Snape, and this story definitely achieves it!
