I am completely blown away by the dialogue, for one, which is so spot-on and reminisce of Kim and Mairelon in the books. Fantastic characterisation to boot! And then there's the plot, the use of canon-style magic, and a well-paced narrative--all of which combine to deliver a fic that had me forgetting I wasn't indeed reading a third novel in the series.
