This fic isn't quite what you'd expect from the summary. It shows very well a Lily who is just and fair--shows it in deeds and actions without lengthy exposition, which gets a gold star from me for that! There's good Lily-Snape interaction, showing their friendship before things turned sour, and Slughorn makes a very believable appearance, too. The whole situation is realistic, as is the characterisation of all featured characters.
