This is a great look at family relationships in the book, particularly Annabeth’s, which has so much awkward tension to explore! Frederick Chase is beautifully characterised, and his interaction with Percy-particularly when Athena is referenced-is a delight. I love how it moves the father-daughter relationship for Annabeth and her dad another step forward. Very believable, touching, and with just the right dash of light humour.
