Luna and Snape are two very intriguing characters in their own right and this story does a great job in exploring the nuances in both their personalities through the showcasing of their interactions. The author does a great job portraying Luna’s quiet eccentricity and Snape’s acerbic reactions giving way to well-hidden curiosity. The development of a respectful yet unspoken working relationship between the two is a pleasure to read. It’s full of quiet insight and as the reader you sort of reach the same conclusions as the characters about the other person. This fic works both as a character study and a tale of two very different people reaching an understanding about each other.
