Why you should read this …
This is a fic that follows Percy through Annabeth’s eyes, and it presents a very true view of both him and her. The narrative voice is perfect: introspect enough for Annabeth, but incorporating just the right amount of snark that is so reminiscent of the canon style of storytelling. The perspectives given fit very well with the canon characterisation of Percy and Annabeth, and you can just imagine this inner commentary from Annabeth following along the series. My one lament would be that it ended a little abruptly, although its final section is one I thoroughly agree with.
