The festival... was well, just as it was. Didn't really pay attention to any of the performances either. Technically speaking, I was paying attention to Ino. Because she looked like she would just fall apart and die any moment.
And she did, after getting worked up at Tenten for no logical reason. They tore down the curtain - and I'm glad it happened, or I would have never been able to catch Ino for I was sleeping off Hinata's performance. I almost chuckled and said something to Chouji about girls being troublesome, until Ino fell.
It was weird - like the world slowed down and I saw her face go listless as she fell. I rushed to break her fall, obviously. And she was light. So unbelievably light as compared to what she weighed over our last mission. Cold sweat, cold skin, pale lips...
It was... scary. I don't think I'd ever been this worried over Ino - over anyone, I think.
When I lunged to shield her from falling water and debris it was the only thing on my mind to keep her from being crushed. I wasn't worried, no. But this... it was like the first time Old Man demonstrated the Kubishibari... on me. Short of breath, panic, fear...
I shook her, called her name, tapped her cheek. Void.
Put my finger under her nose. Nil.
Asked for help. No response.
FUCKDAMMIT, what is WRONG with the people in this village?? Someone faints in front of an entire audience and none of these idiots can do anything else but stand and STARE??
But one finally found it in himself to call for Tsunade-sama. Finally.
They got Ino to the hospital, but that hardly gave me any comforting thought. Strangely.
Put her on needles, and when they finally allowed me into the ward it was painful to see her sort of wired up to the apparatus. Shit.
People came and left, and every hour that went past without Ino waking up just made me feel sick.
Stayed with her the whole night, and when Chouji came in the morning her eyes were still closed. I clasped her hand, cold. And then Inoshi came in bringing the big ruckus that seems to be omnipresent as long as he's within a 500m radius.
The crowd would come in, Chouji told me. Which basically implied we had to leave and get something to feed the Nara with. Chouji's a good guy, really. He assured me Ino would be fine. Well yea, when she's out cold and immobile nothing CAN happen to her. ;;>.>
But yea, we left.
Will probably drop by the hospital later.
