That was excellent -- some of the best characterization of the Bookmen that I've seen in fandom thus far, and I'm saying this as someone who writes them A LOT.

Eee, this is perfect. It's such a good look at "Bookman" and how they all sort of blend together, even in the secret histories not more than one undetectable entity with only faint context clues to tell him what it was like. And when Lavi thinks of what it means for him, and what it means for his friends is just... lovely. Kind of tragic, but perfect.

I was just thinking how I wanted to write a fic like this, but I think you've satisfied that particular itch. XD
