Well, I'll be damned if I'm one of those people that spell her last name wrong. ;__;

*blinks* You do?? I've never noticed... ^^;;; The quality of writing must make up for it then coz I was more referring to the stuff I was just wading through on ff.net =_= *is in desperate need of some good fics* *paws at you*

Yeah. ^^;;; To be honest that's how I thought it was always spelled since you don't really hear her whole name pronounced...but then again it wouldn't be the first time I got the spelling a character wrong. XD

Well, I did write something a little while ago (last week?) that I still need to put on ffnet but it's just a fluff piece with other works on the comp I just haven't had the time to work on with school especially this week. ._.

Speaking of which I have yet to read your 'Vanilla' fic. *paws at fic repeatedly*

I always used to spell it 'Athha' (as in 'ath-ha', like half Athrun's name and an exhale), then I saw that a lot of people and sources in the English fandom were using Attha, so I swapped. XD

*grins* "Half Athrun's name and an exhale" -- I like that ^_^ I've always gone by the katakana pronounciation, so I say "A-su-ha"... thereby making it "A-th-ha" in English. I haven't heard the dub yet so I wouldn't actually know if they pronounce it differently in English.

I think this is more a pet peeve because I teach English to kids. The easiest way to teach them to pronounce words they're not familiar with is to break it up into syllables. And since syllable breaks split up double letters, the kids would pronounce "Attha" as "At-tha"... =_=

And I certainly must not surf the English fandom enough because the only official English source I know is GundamOfficial.com, and they have it spelt as "Athha". It was one of the few names that survived being "English-fied" *L* To this day, I still don't get why they had to change Yzak's name from "Jule" to "Joule" -- coz as far as I know, it shouldn't actually change the pronounciation, and the latter just makes me think "joule" as in "kilojoule" o.O;;
