Too many parts separated by too much time

Ok, so after deciding to write a story from a setting of mine I decided to page through my notes some, and (go figure) I found a portion of writing I had been doing back in 2005 using the same characters . . . well, ok, it's the same story, but trying to include what little I have written now has been a little problematic
