Actually I was thinking of you about something similar - well not similar at all, just bike inspired corset - not even bike but bike bags - that have the seat belt buckles (http://www.chromebags.com/) or these (http://www.crumpler.ca/Cart/index.php?catId=5) are more local I like the clasp but not as much as the seatbelt buckle though... they'd all probably be too clunky and heavy.
