It was merely a joke when Jun asked him what he would do if the gold can contained a ring.
And no, Sho was not disappointed at all to find Ohno's picture with a note scribbled in, inside the can; he found it sweet even, although he acted like he was a bit creeped out at the man in jest.
Laughter followed when Ohno felt frustrated that he should've just put a ring there instead of the photo.
But all of these things, while honestly, endeared the man to Sho more, Sho was content to tuck them as a good memory in light of their recent Shiyagare episode.
The inconspicuously placed silver can on Sho's bag at their greenroom however, made Sho look back at the members and tilt his head in wonder.
“What's wrong, Sho-chan?” It was Nino who addressed the man.
Sho picked up the silver can, seeing the label “Sho's present” in the process, and showed it to the rest of the guys.
“What's this about, Satoshi-kun?”
Ohno merely smiled and shrugged.
“Why don't you open it?” Aiba suggested, getting a little excited at the seemingly special gift Ohno didn't bother taking out for filming.
Sho nodded, a bit hesitant. He slowly but surely pulled the tab on the can anyway and before he could even see the contents, he heard Aiba gasp.
“I didn't think my comment would be spot on.” Jun who was quiet up until earlier, said, turning to their leader who was chuckling beside him.
The words that came out from Jun made Sho nervous. His gaze flickered to Ohno on the couch was smiling, back to the can he opened.
Slowly, he turned the can to face him and his heart stopped.
On a velvet-lined foam lays a plain yet elegant white gold band.
“I did put a ring inside though.” Ohno said. “Just not on the gold can.”
Overwhelmed by the warm feelings, all Sho could do was snort in laughter.
