Title: Facebook Memories
Pairing: Ohno Satoshi / Sakurai Sho
Disclaimer: pure imagination
Note: Happy Birthday Sakurai Sho~
It has been a while. A year, to be exact.
He was finally, finally able to stop thinking about him, much more remember him or let him haunt his dreams.
If this was how it feels to move on, he figured he was already there.
Beep.
Nino's chat head popped up on his mobile's screen.
Answer me.
Are you still talking to him?
Sho furrowed his brows in confusion, then typed, Huh?
Beep.
Ohchan.
The name made Sho frown. No. Why? He thought of another thing to add, We're not even Facebook friends anymore.
Ah.
Okay.
Well, he shared your photo of him.
Sho's brow arched in wonder, his heart, throbbing dangerously slow. Eh? Which photo?
I think it's one of today's memories.
Wait.
Nino was gone for a few minutes, and in that short time, Sho was already feeling various states of wonder and curiosity.
The moment Nino returned, he held his breath.
Here.
It was a photo of Ohno painting that he captioned with Brimming with talent. ❤ #mine
Sho honestly wasn't sure how to take this. But if he thought of it carefully without letting his feelings come across, which he did, he'd say it was only because.. He's just showing off his painting.
Nino's reply came with an indifferent, So you say.
I will not, in any way, encourage anything that might lead you two back in each other's arms though.
Ah, Nino. Ever the rational friend. It made Sho chuckle despite the feeling of a sudden drop in his gut. It's not like there's a chance of that happening.
Nino decided not to comment anymore.

After a week, Sho managed to forget the photo sharing incident. A few nights of drinking happily with his buddy Aiba-chan after work made it rather easy. (Sho would never admit how much the photo-sharing thing affected him.)
But then, on one of the nights he was drinking with Aiba-chan and Nino was bored enough to come, it was as if fate was mocking him; his ex-boyfriend suddenly sent him a message.
From: Ohno Satoshi
Hey. It's Satoshi.
Have you seen my favorite yellow lure?
I can't find it here.
Maybe I left it at your place?
Can you check?
Thanks.
Sho sighed, Nino rolled his eyes, Aiba was already drunk.
When Sho got home, he thought about ignoring the whole looking for the lure favor. In fact, he managed to get in his sleepwear, lay in his bed with eyes closed, and just stop thinking.
Half an hour later though, he was still pretty much awake. That damn yellow lure was forcing its way into his head and keeping him up.
So he stood up, looked around, and by 3 am, he was staring at the stupid thing that disrupted his otherwise alcohol-induced sleep.
He typed a quick reply before passing out on his couch.
To: Ohno Satoshi
Found it.

Sho woke up several hours later to his back aching at the discomfort of his position, and sweat beading at his forehead.
His wall clock told him it was already 12 noon. It was a good thing it's a weekend and he didn't have work for the day, or else he'd tarnish his reputation of never being late.
The small light from his cellphone notified him of received mail and he frowned when he read the name Ohno Satoshi again. He wasn't sure what it was, but it seemed like Ohno was actively ruining the sense of peace he had finally regained a year after their breakup.
From: Ohno Satoshi
Thanks!
I'll come by to get it later.
Later. He groaned at the idea of seeing him again and let his body fall back on the couch. It was better for him to just sleep the day off.

Ding dong.
His doorbell rang.
Sho's been dreading this moment since he read Ohno's message earlier.
He hadn't been awake enough to call Nino over. He was alone. Sho had never felt so cornered in his life.
But he had to open the door. Open the door, hand the lure back and get it over with.
He had to do it so he can resume his life and be at peace.
Sho quickly swiped the lure from the table and with heavy steps, he headed to the door.
Peeking through the hole, he felt his heart beating fast. He was already expecting it, but it was Ohno. It was really Ohno.
He was hesitant to open the door. But he knew the sooner he did, the sooner he could resume living his life without any distractions.
So he did.
Oh God. Ohno hasn't changed.
His eyes were still sleepy, and his smile was still a thin line stretched in his lips and it was still as beautiful as he remembered.
“It's been a while.” Ohno greeted. His voice was still that quiet lull the wind carried.
And the worst part was, Sho's heart still beats fast for him. It was still that same way seeing Ohno made him feel.
So I haven't moved on at all, huh? Sho thought to himself quite bitterly.
Ohno was staring at him expectantly, and Sho finally remembered the item Ohno came to retrieve.
He reached out his hand, the lure tight in his grip, and waited for Ohno to lift his own so he could drop the item on his palm.
But Ohno's hands wrapped around his, out of the blue.
Sho tried to pull away, but Ohno kept his hand in his.
Sho shot him a look of confusion, his brow beginning to arch in question. But Ohno stared at him, his eyes seemed pleading.
“Let me go, Ohno-san.” Sho said, his voice, weak.
“I don't want to.” A hint of stubbornness slipped through Ohno's soft voice.
Sho was trying to reign in his annoyance, “Why?” he asked. True, he was annoyed that Ohno was being stubborn. But he was more annoyed at the fact that his heart was beating faster and faster the longer Ohno kept his hold on him. It was becoming harder to breathe.
“I miss you.”
And then Sho swears his heart stopped.
Ohno looked a little nervous. He was watching Sho carefully. But Sho was really just frozen on his spot.
The man resolved to explain.
“I miss you, and I want you back.” Ohno took a deep breath and closed his eyes. “It's just... the first few months, it was like, I felt free and I enjoyed it.. but.. without you, my life felt so...” Ohno opened his eyes, they were a bit glassy as he held Sho's gaze. “it felt so wrong.”
“I-- I need you. You're what makes my life so right.”
Sho's heart swelled and he almost melted. But there was still a nagging thought that kept him at his spot. “What about Jun?”
Ohno seemed surprised that Sho knew. But behind that, he seemed a bit happy that Sho was paying attention. “I broke up with him.”
It wasn't much of an explanation. But it was enough for Sho to lean forward and press his lips against the man's.
The moment their lips touched, he felt Ohno relaxing, and Sho knew for sure, he was what Ohno needed.

He shared another photo. This time it's yours, from his memories. Nino's chat read.
Sho smiled at the message and typed, We're back together.
A second too soon, Nino replied. I did not, in any way, encourage this.
A moment later, another message came up, But I'm happy for the two of you. I think you both know it's best to keep it that way if you still want to live.
Sho grinned at his phone, “What are you so happy about?” his lover, who had just woken up, asked.
“I'm happy that you're mine again.”
His words made Ohno smile, and the man pulled his phone out of his hand and placed it on the bedside table as he lifted himself up to straddle Sho. The change in position made Sho arch his brow in question.
Ohno leaned in and whispered against his ear, “And I'd like to make you mine again this morning.” making Sho's cheeks flush with warmth.
Sho was pretty sure that from this point on, a new set of memories will be recorded on his timeline. Hopefully, looking back on them in the future would never make their heart hurt again.
