Title: As the Rain Falls
Pairing: Ohno Satoshi / Sakurai Sho
Disclaimer: what if this actually happened?
Note: found this lowkey drabble I wrote 4 years ago (OMG it's been so long??) in my HD. i'm pretty sure this is an unfinished work but well, reading it now makes me think it's fine like this. decided to post it cause it suits the weather here.
“Whoa! This is the worst!”
He cursed at the rain as he ran towards a tree for shelter under it.
Ohno hated the rain. It always made him feel bluer than he always felt. Like, there were bound to be bad things to happen.
He hated it more whenever he didn’t have an umbrella in hand.
He tried to wipe off the parts of his shirt that were drenched in the rain when he heard quiet sobs, seemingly trying to hide away at the sound of the rain.
He looked to his left, and then to his right, and he saw the slumped form under the same tree. He thought about leaving the man alone, cause really, isn’t it troublesome to deal with weepy strangers? But the sound of the man crying as if he was still trying to endure everything made him look back. With slow steps, he approached the man, who then shyly looked up at him and apologized.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to let you hear…” The man said, and Ohno saw the way the man’s lips were trembling as he spoke.
He reached for his handkerchief from inside his pocket, and gently offered it to the other man who only stared at him with a confused gaze. He urged the man to take the handkerchief; the man nodded and hesitantly reached for it.
“Thank you.” He said softly, and gave him a genuine smile that left Ohno stunned.
For a moment, he felt his heart skipped a beat.
All of a sudden he was putting his thoughts into words, “I’m Ohno. If you want, I can hear you out.” He wasn’t sure why he was bothering with someone he didn’t even know. But all thoughts disappeared when the man chuckled, “You’re such a nice person. My name is Sho.”
The rain wasn’t such a bad thing after all.
